Here's an encouraging Word from what I preached in my sermon a week ago.
Don't Count Virgins Out. (That means yourself if you are one, and people other than yourself.)
See these scriptures:
1 Samuel 17:28 King James Version (KJV) 28 And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab's anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why camest thou down hither? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thine heart; for thou art come down that thou mightest see the battle.
1 Samuel 17:33 King James Version (KJV) 33 And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.
1 Samuel 17:42 King James Version (KJV) 42 And when the Philistine looked about, and saw David, he disdained him: for he was but a youth, and ruddy, and of a fair countenance.
Mark 11:1-3 King James Version (KJV) 1 And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples, 2 And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him. 3 And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither.
1 Timothy 4:12 King James Version (KJV) 12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
God has need of ALL His people, even people inexperienced in things such as virgins re: sex.
Don't believe people who say virgins are not qualified to do purity ministry, serve/lead in other ministries, be in social groups/cliques of friends, be a good wife in bed, etc.
The Lord said He had need for the inexperienced colt, and it was used for a special powerful occasion. That was when Jesus rode into town on a donkey and people laid out palms and said Hosanna.
He also said don't let anyone despise your "youth" which can apply to purity and inexperience.
People counted David out and minimized his assignments. But God used him to slay the giant Goliath.
Let's not forget the most famous virgin. Mary, the mother of our Savior Jesus was a virgin when she conceived, carried, and birthed Jesus. Her purity was a blessing. If God favored a virgin and used her for such an important assignment, surely He can use other virgins in ministries, etc. To read more about Mary, see the Gospels of Matthew and Luke.
