Tonight I preached from Ruth 3:11-15.
Some key points are:
1. Godly men, especially our future husbands will see that we are virtuous women, virgins, etc. God will show them and reveal it to them
2. Having a reputation of being virgin, abstinent, celibate, etc. is not always a bad thing. Nobody likes the rejection and ridicule. But the man God has for us who is our Boaz will see purity/virtuousness as a good thing and be drawn to it.
3. Godly men will protect our purity and reputation like Boaz did Ruth. They won't pressure us for sex or try to be seductive or forceful to get sex before marriage. They will make sure we aren't seen leaving their home or they aren't seen leaving our home early in the morning making it look like fornication occured.
We have to abstain from sin and the appearance of it. ***********************************************************************************************
Years ago God had me do a detailed in depth study on Ruth re: how it gives confirmation re: if our future husbands are like Boaz.
Here are some other points God showed me from the story when I did that study.

Ruth Chapters 2-3 Characteristics Of A Good Man/Husband And Godly Pursuing
1. Ruth 2:8-9 Boaz looked after Ruth's well being during the reaping. 2. Ruth 2:3 Ruth went where Boaz was but he pursued her. 3. Ruth 2:10-11 Boaz saw Ruth's kind ways. God showed him. 4. Ruth 3:10 Boaz noted Ruth's kindness.
5. Ruth 2:12 God blessed Ruth for her faithfulness. She trusted in Him. 6. Ruth 2:13 Boaz treated Ruth special. 7. Ruth 2:14-17 Boaz took care of Ruth's needs. 8. Ruth 3:11 Boaz knew what people said about Ruth being a virtuous woman. 9. Ruth 3:14 Boaz protected Ruth's reputation, and had her leave before dawn.
10. Ruth 3:18 Boaz did not stop pursuing Ruth until God allowed the opportunity for them to marry. "The man will not be in rest until he have finished the thing." It also should be noted that all that Ruth went through in her life, negative and positive was part of God's plan to bless her with a good marriage to a good Godly man like Boaz.
